Try this:

  • Click down on a draggable item.
  • While still holding the mouse button down, move the mouse outside the browser window.
  • Release the mouse button.
  • Mouse back over the browser window.

Chances are that the draggable item is still following your mouse around, even though you released the button.

The Dojo framework seems to have worked around this, but only in Firefox.
